I havent done any analysis, but in your case its probably a good thing. You
will give both databases a chance to get the
buffers it wants rather than failing to get the contiguous space.

Pinned Vs. Unpinned Bufferpool
Currently we are running UDB 8.1/FP-10. We have deliberately pinned the
bufferpools to improve response time. Now we do have multiple databases
on a 2-CPU Opteron box, and I am thinking about turning the registry
variable DB2_PINNED_BP to 'NO'.
Has anyone done some analysis as to what negative impact I will see?
