Well I am getting closer to fixing my problem. I found out few things were
set up incorrectly just from playing around and looking into different
newsgroups. First I did not have an entry into the /etc/services file on the
linux server. So I added an entry called DASPORT 40000/tcp. I had the DBM
CFG for SVCENAME set to 40000. I changed this to DASPORT. I rebooted the
server. Once I did that I went into Control Center and I was able to FINALLY
create a database. By the way before I made that change I was able to create
a database from the server db2 command line (as Daniel Callahan asked me
to). I was happy to be able to finally get this far with the Control Center.
But that excitement quickly vanished when I tried to go to the next step of
creating a table. When attempting to create a table I got error SQL22212N.
Also if I tried to go into Configuration Advisor or Configure Database
logging I got SQL4414N saying the Database Server is not active. I am sure
it is active on the server but it must be pointing to the setup of the ADMIN
TCPIP Node I am thinking. Has anyone gotten the combination of these two
errors SQL22212N SQL4414N and found a solution?
