It does take a long time for non-raw tablespaces. I have seen it take hours
as it has to format the whole area before it starts
the actual restore.

DB2 Redirected Restore with
Multiple Containers

I have a large(44gb) DB2 database v8.1 and need to clone this database on a
Test machine. I have used the restore with redirect and that seemed to
work fine. When I issue the first Tablespace Path for Container 0, it just
runs forever. Any ideas of how long establishing a path should take and
what the problem might be?

Thanks,
