Re: db2drdat Not Recognized

Re: db2drdat Not Recognized

I think the db2drdat command is ti trace activity from the DB2 Connect
Server to the host db.
Your message seems to indicate that your platform can't issue or does not
recognize this command
D:\SQLLIB\BIN>db2drdat ?

The db2drdat command traces DRDA dataflows exchanged between
DRDA Application Requesters and DRDA Application Servers.

SYNTAX:
db2drdat on [-i] [-c] [-r] [-s] [-l=LENGTH]
db2drdat off [-t=TRACEFILE] [-p=PROCESSID]

WHERE:
on - Turns the DRDA trace on
off - Turns the DRDA trace off
-i - Include timestamps
-c - Trace SQLCAs
-r - Trace DRDA receive buffers
-s - Trace DRDA send buffers
-l=LENGTH - LENGTH is the size of the trace buffer. The default
value is one megabyte.
-t=TRACEFILE - TRACEFILE is the file name where the captured trace
will be stored. The default file name is db2drdat.dmp.
-p=PROCESSID - PROCESSID is the ID of a process to be traced. If
PROCESSID is not specified, all process IDs for the DB2
instance are traced.

Are you sure that you have DB2 Connect installed? A db2 get dbm cfg will
tell
D:\SQLLIB\BIN>db2 get dbm cfg | findstr "node type"
Node type = Database Server with local clients

This one does not have Connect product. It is in fact DB2 PDE not ESE.

Hope this helps, Pierre.
