??? During the migration from Version 7 to 8 ???

I'm looking for information pertaining to the compatibility of the Control
Center and other GUI Utilities. Can you connect Version 7 client and a
Version 8 Admin Instance so as to connect to a Version 8 database and/or a
Version 7 database. I can connect via a Version 7 client to a Version 7
Admin Instance to connect to both a Version 7 and a Version 8 database but
I don't know if I can go the other direction. Has anyone played with this
? What are the restrictions, etc ?
