In some cases UDB use different plans for executing the same query on
server and client.
Find the query plan on both server and client . you will notice that these
plans are different. May be in case of execution of query through client
UDB is storing the intermediate data in some temporary tables. See the
query plan on client and accordingly rewrite the query or change the query
optimization class.
Hope this will solve your problem.
Thanx & Rgds

| Subject: Question on Tempspace filling up. |
>-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
UDB Gurus,
I' m having this strange situation where I'm running a query on the
database server it takes
about 10 mins and hardly uses any temp space . When we run this same query
from a client
machine, It takes about 1hour 30 mins and chews up all the temp space (
Currently it's 6GB of temp )
the size of the database is about 2.5 GB and It's UDB EEE version 8 fix
pak 5 with 5 partions runing on AIX .
Any ideas on any registry values or config parameters to change ?
