Greetings Lazy DB2 DBA's!
I've use the DB2 UDB Load utility for many years but this problem has
the girls and I stumped.
When Hugh moved from DB2 8.1 fixpak 3 to fixpak 10, a Load began taking
an enomous amount of time to complete.
The Load would read in 16 separate files, each file is about the same
size, with 250,000 rows.
After moving to 8.1 fixpak 10, the first file loads in a few seconds,
the second file 30 minutes, and the 3rd file
ran at a turtle's pace, so by the time the last file was loaded, it was
the Miller time.
It not a large system, but it's not consuming all the resources it has
when the load is running alone.
What changed from fixpak 3 to fixpak 10 ? Who knows this secret?
Thanks.
