Even though java is dynamic sql , it still uses packages to prepare the sql
and get the number of statements that it can open.
During the retrieval of the package in the catalog, there can be internal
locks on the packages.
Those are the NULLID.SYSH packages. Check to see if the java is doing huge
prepares etc and if you are running
out of statement handles.

Lock question










IBM documentation fails me again...



Would someone be so kind as to explain what "Internal Plan Lock" means
and what might be causing them?



Some potentially pertinent info:

DB2 V8 FP11 on Solaris 8, 64-bit

Application written in java
