Hi,
"ZRC=0x83000024" tells us that some Unexpected Operating System error
has occurred, little difficult to say what is root cause.
Backup db2diag.log, create fresh copy.
Run that scheduled job again after re-bouncing DB2 instance.
Let us know if you get same error again.

Hi All,
Today morning I have observed that my instance is down because of a
backup failure on my development database (DEVDB). We have scheduled a
backup script which runs overnight everyday to backup DEVDB database and
I have not come across this kind of failure before. We are currently
using DB2 UDB 8.1.6 on Solaris. Please find the error message below from
