Make sure that the SMTP server that you have chosen is up , active and
using that port. Also make sure
that the path you have specified for the apply has the x.aut for the
userid password to connect to the db.
Try using the asnmail command and see if it works there. Look it up in the
commands.

Problem setting up a contact in DB2
Replication monitoring
I am trying to use the Windows DB2 Replication tool to setup replication
monitoring for an apply process. When I setup a Contact and try to test the
connection I get:
java.sql.SQLException: SQL22295N Unable to communicate successfully with
the SMTP server at host "" using port "25". Reason code = "2".
I have tried this from the Health Centre and it works OK (ie setting up a
contact and testing the e-mail generation). I have set the SMTP server when
I started the monitor (on the apply process). Any ideas what I haven't
done?
The apply environment is DB2 v8.2 on AIX.
