No. There is actually nothing to reorg as the table and indexes are gone
(i.e. there is no tablespace level reorg). The space is automatically
freed up.

Subject: REORG - Need advise
Hi All,
We normally do a REORG on the table and indexes when the data
is
deleted from the tables.
What if we are dropping a table or any database object from a database ?
Do
we need to do a REORG ?
For example, I understand that the when a table is dropped , it's
corresponding other database objects like primary keys, constraints etc
are
also dropped , the catalog entries are deleted. But what happens to the
table data ? Logically , the table data should also get deleted from the
disk / memory where it is stored. In that case , I believe that REORG
should
be done to defragment the memory space.
Please confirm if my understanding is right or please explain what
happens
when a table or any other database object is dropped.
Thanks
Venkat
