Re: UDB TABLESPACE Restore from offline backup on EE

Re: UDB TABLESPACE Restore from offline backup on EE

If you can be a bit more specific about:
OS, DB2 UDB level and what are your concerns.

I think from the EE in your subject, you are at V7.2 Extended Edition. This
has been out of service for over a year now.

You can restore a tablespace from any type of backup: Full DB, Tablespace
Backup, Tablespace backup with multiple tbsps. in the image.
If the backup was taken offline then you can restore it and decide to where
you will rollforward.
If the backup was taken online, you must rollforward at least to the
timestamp of the end of the backup.

This has been supported since V7 at least and has been done quite often in
many installations.
