The Health Monitor has had a checkered past for sure. In V8.2 FP12 and
above we have turned it on in non-production just to see what sort of
issues we would run into. Other than it makes a lot of the automatic
stuff run (runstats, reorg check and etc.) and yes we make sure the
automatic switches are set to NO, it appears to be stable and not cause
the instance to crash. It does a little more than we would like in
production so we don't think we are going to turn it on in production.
