When some problem occurs you need to look into the db2diag.log
It would be generally in sqllib/db2dump of the home directory.
You can see the dbm configuration parameter diagpath for the exact location.
Transaction logs are, for exclusive use of db2.
You can not open them in vi. Also they are not in readable format.
