We occasionally have connectivity problems connecting our DB2 Data
Warehouse Server to the Database Server. We have increased the Agent
Start/stop timeout progressively from 30 seconds to 60 seconds. I am now
proposing to increase it to 120 seconds.

My question is what are other sites using? And is there any downside to
increasing to say 5 minutes (300 seconds)?

We are using DB2 V8.1 fixpak 5 on Data Warehouse Server and Database.
The Data Warehouse Server is on Win2000 and Database on Solaris 9.
