Hello all

I am new to this wonderful world of db2 and in trying to work through
getting a functional system I am running into a few issues. I hope you
guys can help me out.

I have db2 installed fine had to do it manually though. so I am doing
all configuration via the cli following the Installation and
Configuration Supplement.

I have all users and groups ok was able to create the das ok created
the instance just fine. Now I am trying to configure communications.
upon entering the command

/opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/bin/db2ca

I receive the following error

/path/db2ca: line 15: db2javit: command not found

the program can't find db2javit obviously but locate db2javit by any
user turns up

/opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/bin/db2javit

I thought it may have something to do with not creating the correct
links so I used /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/db2/cfg/db2ln

this executed fine what am I missing

/usr/lib/libdb2.so -> /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/lib/libdb2.so
