Subject: An I/O error "-50" occurred on media "TSM"
Gurus,
offline database backup failed as below:
$ db2 "backup db xxxxx use TSM compress"
SQL2025N An I/O error "-50" occurred on media "TSM".
when I looked to find the cause of error, it said:
$ db2 "? SQL2025N"
SQL2025N An I/O error "<code>" occurred on media
"<dir/devices>".
Explanation:
An I/O error occurred while accessing a file on the specified media.
The utility stops processing.
User Response:
Record the error return code. Determine whether the I/O error can be
corrected
Any idea why this is happening ?
thanks.
