For the cursors part of your question I was told to investigate the "WITH
HOLD" option. http://tinyurl.com/2p94qw
I don't know which version of DB2 this became available with.
I'm not aware of a way of committing to one table without committing to the
rest.

Alex Cosser

Guys,
Is there a way to commit work to one table involved in a process WITHOUT
affecting cursors or the other tables in the process?
Thanks - Rich
