What version of UDB are you running. If you are using a later version
like 9 or 8 FP11 federation should not be any problem. Setting it up is
not difficult.

Subject: reg DB links
Hi Gurus
I have an requirement of connecting my clients DB from a stored proc
And fetch data from those tables into my Local Db tables
Someone suggested me to create DB links as we do in oracle
So I searched for Equivalent Db links in DB2 I then came across
Federated database
Which I haven't done till date cos I ges it's a big topic
So do let me know is this the only alternative
Or do we have some other too
Thanks in advance
Nadeem
