RE: DROP TABLE??

RE: DROP TABLE??

Hi,

Drop is a DDL Activity without much logging. For DDL we do have minimal
logging , but its very small and used internally by database manager. If
fact don't think of any activity that is not logged.

What is you are dropping a table and server crashed. Ever wondered h ow
thinsg are soo smooth, its minimal logging which is always there to keep
things inplace. We don't need to bother for this one.

Subject: DROP TABLE??

Hi,

Does "DROP TABLE" command write all rows that get dropped in the
transaction log?

DROP TABLE is a DDL rather DML. I don't think DDL activity record data
changes in the transaction log.

Please help to confirm this. Thanks!
