No. You must create the table first. However, you can "cheat"! hehe.
Go into the Control Center (GUI) and highlight the applicable table,
then right click on the applicable table and click "Copy". This process
actually does an export and import for you.

Subject: create table AS
Hi,
Is there a create table command in DB2 similar to Oracle where one can
create a table and populate the data in one step?
Eg. Create Table emp_bk as select * from emp.
Thanks,
Ashim.
