RE: create table AS

You still need to use a refresh command and there are sql limitations on
the MQT.

RE: create table AS

Anything to wean fellow professionals off Oracle! :-)

1. Look at the syntax of the CREATE TABLE statement for Materialised Query
Tables, Automatic Summary Tables etc.
2. Ditto, DECLARE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE
3. The IMPORT utility with the CREATE or REPLACE_CREATE options

Subject: create table AS

Hi,
Is there a create table command in DB2 similar to Oracle where one can
create a table and populate the data in one step?

Eg. Create Table emp_bk as select * from emp.

Thanks,
Ashim.
