Re: RE: RE: problem in reorg

Re: RE: RE: problem in reorg

When I used reorg index stop command, it is not returning anything,
just hunging.

And db2 list application shows the reorg stop command is in
lock-wait state.

I forced the reorg index command by force application. The diag log
contain following

Reorg Indexes Rolled Back on:
Table S_EVT_ACT (poolID 6 : objectID 455)
with reorg flags 0x04011010

And list history reorg is following

Op Obj Timestamp+Sequence Type Dev Earliest Log Current Log Backup
ID
-- --- ------------------ ---- --- ------------ ------------
--------------
G I 20080224022038 F S0002624.LOG S0002625.LOG

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Table: "SIEBEL "."S_EVT_ACT"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comment: REORG INDEXES
Start Time: 20080224022038
End Time: 20080224041847

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
00078
---------------------

The main problem is that I am not able to access that table. Every
query returning lock time out. Even I tried to reorg second time, it
also giving lock time out. I guess table structure is changed or
reorg is holding the lock because not properly roll back.

When I am using reorg index stop command, it is also comming in
lock-wait state.
The table have 7000000 records with 80 index. I did not able to
check whether it is properly rollback or not.
How can I check if any indexes hax been dropped due to force
command?

db2pd -d databaename and -reorg command see what is the state of the
reorg on the table ,most probably table should be in online paused
state so stop the reorg and then try to select from the table.
