Hi Alex,
Now I have uncataloged node and database. Currently no entry in db
directory of local database. When I using... db2 connect to
it is giving database name could not be found. db2 get instance
giving local instance name in which I have database. So how can I
solve that. It is in win 2003 server.
Thanks.

Correction: you can check your DB2INSTANCE variable and your current
attachment state by running the GET INSTANCE and ATTACH commands.

Hi Manasa
If these are the commands you issued, then that database is classed
as
REMOTE, even though it's on a local server.
If it were local to the instance whose db2profile you've run, then
it would
already be catalogued.
So you don't need to catalog it in under another node, unless that
database
is in another instance.
If it's in another instance, then you have to ATTACH explicitly to
that
instance to run a list applications.
You can check your current instance and its attachment state by
running the
GET INSTANCE and ATTACH commands.
The empty list application output you are seeing is from whatever
instance
is in your DB2INSTANCE environment variable.
Regards
Alex

Hi Geetha,
It is a local database. I used the following command to catalog.
db2 catalog local node instance < instance name>
db2 catalog db at node
Thanks.
