Don't know how to do this in Windows.

What happens to the pipe file after you compress it? Depending on your answer, there may be a different way to do this.

Hello All,

Is there anything simlilar to beow in windows :
mkfifo pipefile <--- creat a pipe file

db2 'export to pipefile of ixf select * from tablename' & <--- export and
put in background !

gzip -f < pipefile > abc.gz <--- compress the file
