All I can tell you is that I have to run it after a restore if (I think) I
haven't done an offline backup. Maybe someone else in the forum can
provide a better explanation? I'm only a "part-time DBA" :-)

What is the error you're getting?
Did you check the tablespace state?
If LOAD has terminated the tablespace may be in backup pending state
Do a online backup of the tablespace

Does anyone know how to remove CHECK PENDING after the LOAD. SET
INTEGRITY and DISABLE/ENABLE foreign keys does not work. Table is still
