From the command line, you need to do a db2 terminate and then issue a db2
list db directory.
The terminate flushes the cache of the db2 command line appl. And the next
db2 command will reload to show the new db.
If your CC was open when you catalogued the db, then you need to refresh it.
Go to All Systems, right click, choose Refresh and it should work.
If that does not do it, on the left hand panel open the server where the db
is, open the instance that owns it, on the Database folder right click and
choose add. The panel that opens will allow you to choose Discover. Follow
directions from there.
Regards, Pierre.

Check the following parameters:
db2 get dbm cfg | grep -i discover
Discovery mode (DISCOVER) = SEARCH
Discover server instance (DISCOVER_INST) = ENABLE
db2 get db cfg | grep -i discover
Discovery support for this database (DISCOVER_DB) = ENABLE

Subject: Database not showing up in Control Center
I'm using DB2 9.1.3 on Windows.
From a DB2 command window, I issued commands to catalog a remote system,
catalog the remote instance, and catalog the database. After each
statement, I received the message that it was successful, but the
changes might not show up until the database cache is cleared or
refreshed or something like that.
When I go into the Control Center, I can see the Server and the
Instance, but the database doesn't show up. I can see the database if I
issue a list database directory. I can also connect to the database.
Any idea why I can't see the database in Control Center?
Thanks,
Dan Luchinski
