One of the best articles I have read on the subject is from DB2 Magazine. It is Scott Hayes' (DGI) article Top 10 Performance Tips in the March 2001 volume. I would start there.

What's considered the best technique for tuning db2/udb ? Can anyone give me
some pointers to a good book or website on tuning methodology (or better
still just tell me what you normally do that gets results! )
