You must use the full connect syntax or the command center connects you to
the database as your Windows login. For example:

BAD EXAMPLE: "connect to <mydatabase>"

GOOD EXAMPLE: "connect to <mydatabase> user <mylogin> using <mypassword>"
ANOTHER GOOD EXAMPLE (that will prompt for the password): "connect to
<mydatabase> user <mylogin>"

Hi all - any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a 7.2 DB2 UDB database, where I can connect successfully using the
Command Line Processor, and I can issue queries, and everything is fine.
However, when I try to login via the Command Center, I can connect, and
that appears fine, but any query I try to issue results in this error:

"DBA2192E Database connection failed.

com.ibm.db.DataException: The connection failed. The username and/or
password supplied is incorrect. :[IBM][CLIDriver] SQL1403N The username
and/or password supplied is incorrect. SQLSTATE=08004"

Any ideas on what is causing this, and how to troubleshoot and fix?

Second, I am an Oracle DBA, trying to become familiar with the DB2 world.
Can anyone recommend any good, solid books about DB2 administration? I
have the "All-In-One DB2 administration Exam Guide" book, by Roger
Sanders, but I've got to think there are better books out there - any
suggestions??
