Tim,
I am a bit confused here. If you specified NO during the installation to create TOOLS DB, then what are you trying to backup here?
Here is what you need to do:
1. Check what data bases you currently have on this local server (go to command window and run following command: “db2 list db directory”) this will give you list of currently cataloged data bases. See if the Data base you are trying to backup is there.
2. If the data base you want to back up is present, check if it’s properly cataloged in your control center. My recommendation is to do the backup from command line first to make sure you accessing correct object.
3. If you still having problems, check db2diag.log file on local UDB server for any error messages that may be generated.
