I'm sorry I've not been clear enough at explaining my problem.
The server box runs OK, in fact, the server box has better hardware. The
problem here is in the development boxe[s|n] (sp?). We would need to run
MS VB, CA ErWin, DB2 Control Center, DB2 Command Center and DB2 Stored
Procedure Builder at the same time, but doing this on 256 Mb RAM makes
the box choke and cough.
Looking at the Task Manager I've noticed that DB2 Control Center
uses a great amount of RAM.
In \sqllib\bin\db2cc.bat I saw this::
-o:"-nojit -mx128m -ms32m"
I was thinking (in fact hoping) if maybe there is some way to
improve the performance of the JVM, other than installing more memory.
In the long run, we will eventually be provided with better
hardware, but we depend on a government agency and cannot tell when will
it happen. not in the near future for sure. That's why I'm trying to
find another solution, even though more memory is the correct one.
Thanks you very much for your help !!
