You have created the instance...but did you create the database...You will
first have to set the DB2INSTANCE parameter to the instance name and then
create a database under that instance...then you would be able to connect to
that database...

I am new to DB2. I created an instance using db2isetup (from bin
folder), after instance creation I am unable to connect to the database.
