Infact you cant modify a column in DB2 unless it's VARCHAR type.
You can add new columns.

I need to alter a table to modify a column's datatype .
if i do it the oracle pl/sql way , it gives me an error saying -
'unexpected token "MODIFY" was found'.
How do i do it then?
