if you re-install you wont destroy the databases. If you want to keep all
the db cfg info use db2cfexp xxxx.bak and then after you have the new
instance do db2cfimp xxxx.bak
Look it up in the command reference.

immediate help pls
I hv one DB2 server ver 8.1 running in a Windows server.(Development
server)
Actually it is trial version.
Now the trial version got expired. I didn't took the backup of datafiles
and schemas.
Now i hope i am in a position to reinstall the DB2 server.
If i do this, i hope the dictionary will not point to the existing schemas
and datafiles.
Hence any way to solve this issue.
