You need to remove the soft links that were created by the v 7 install to
the lib directory.

/usr/lib points to /usr/lpp/db2_07_01.remove them or make your own new
libpath after you install v8
Also do a slibclean after the v8 install.

Guys,

Has one tried to install a db2 8.1 on a existing db2 7.1 AIX
environment. I am trying to do this and getting this error (not sure if
its the error) after i run my db2icrt... Any ideas would be of great
help.
