Thanks for the help. I've created a task and it also ran and updated the record.
But the status of the task shown is "Not Successfull". Retrun code = 0.
But it has updated the records properly. then why is that its showing that status??

In the prev mail, I just gave an example.
db2 create tools catalog cc create new database toolsdb
If you want to know the syntax, you can refer to the site

When I click on the scheduler system, it throws me an error saying that tools catalog is not available. How to create that?

Hi Ishwarya,
It is better to write a shell script and automate that through
the cron. But while doing so, don't forget to source the environment
for DB2 [running the .profile inside the script or setting the DB2
envirnoment variables explicitly]. We found this way easier as the Task
Manager needs the presence of TOOLS database and running correctly.
We have been running the SQLs through the crons and they are all runinng
fine.
Hope this information helps.
Good Luck.

Objet : Scheduler Jobs in DB2 UDB 8.0
Hi all,
Can anybody guide me on how to create a scheduler (job) in DB2 UDB 8.0
version. I would be using this to write a job which will update the
records to a particular status in the table mentioned in the scheduler
each day.
Regards
Iswariya Vasan
