You might look at db2move or a re-directed restore.

Relocate a db
Hi,
I've to relocate and rename a db2 database version 8.1.5 64 bit on OS AIX
5.2 to a new server of same configuration but different filesystem/
container names.
eg: Server A:
db2 home in /db2home/maint
/db2/maint/xxx -- container paths
/db2/maint/yyy -- container paths
/db2/maint/zzz -- container paths
...
...
...
...
to
db2 home in /db2home/dev1
/db2/dev1/xxx -- container paths
/db2/dev1/yyy -- container paths
/db2/dev1/zzz -- container paths
...
...
...
I've to rename maint db name to dev1.
We will be reimaging the new server with a copy from the old ( maint )
server.
I think I can use the db2relocatedb command and specify the old and new
container paths in the config file.
- Do I need to have both the filesystem existing on the server. i.e
/db2/maint/xxx and /db2/dev1/xxx.
- can I move the syscat, temp , userspace in the same way and
- How to change the db2home from /db2home/maint to /db2home/dev1
- Is there any other better way to do these changes, ( commands like
db2move, export/import, or load but the data is 1TB )
Thanks for your help.
