We will migrate one day but for now we have new systems based on both db so we have to make them talk to each other.

Do you mean Migration from each other?
FOr Oracle use Oracle Migration Workbench. Download DB2 plugins
For DB2 to Oracle, use Migration Toolkit for Oracle.

What middleware can be used to read/write from DB2 UDB 8.1 to Oracle 8i and
from Oracle to DB2 ?
All on Aix.
