You could always install the same version on the vendor machine. I have
run all versions at one time or another on my laptop for similar reasons.

Does anyone know if it's possible to restore a UDB Database from Work Group
Edition to a UDB Personal Edition so that a vendor can work on a single copy
of the database without attaching to a server.
