Update the DRDA_HEAP parameter. Any time that you are using v8 its always
DRDA even if on the same machine.

DRDA AS error working from UDB-8 to
UDB-7 on AIX
Hi All,
Do any of you has come up with this bizarre error when working from a DB2
v8.1 FP4 to a DB2 v7.2 32-bit FP10a both instances on the same box with AIX
5.2 ?
The error is being generated by an application.... connect works fine.. I
dont have the info what the application is trying to execute/run...
Error is this:
SQL30040N Execution failed because of unavailable
resources that will not affect the successful execution
of subsequent commands and SQL statements: Reason
"0x200002D", Type of Resource "MEMORY", Resource Name
"DRDA HEAP", Product ID "SQL07028 ". SQLSTATE=57012
db2diag.log shows this:
2004-02-17-14.29.08.034573 Instance:dtbtstgt Node:000
PID:230640(db2agent (DTBTSTGT)) Appid:093D0DF8.E654.040217192933
drda_as sqljp_fdodsc Probe:400 Database:DTBTSTGT
DIA5000C A DRDA AS token "RECOVERABLE" was detected. The diagnostic data
returned is (SRVDGN): "FUNCTION ID = 0192, PROBE POINT = 0400, REASON CODE
=
0x0200002D, RETURN CODE 1 = 0xFFFFD61F, RETURN CODE 2 = 0x002801D0, RETURN
CODE
3 = 0x00000000, MESSAGE = Parser: Memory allocation error
I read a bit about what DRDA AS (Application Server) and AR (Requester) is
and, I can't just think what DRDA has to do with my environment since both
ee instances reside on the same box and this is not at all any DRDA
type-system.
Thanks for any help...
Isaac
