RE: DB2 Connect with Access Issue

RE: DB2 Connect with Access Issue

Following is a list of all requisite PTFs and APARs that are required for
DB2 version 8 client support:

390 Enablement for Control Center requires:

JDB6613 - DB2 v6 for 390
JDB7713 - DB2 v7 for 390
JDB881D - DB2 v8 for 390

DB2 DAS for 390 - Required for v8 admin tools:

HDAS810

Additional prerequisites for v8 client support:

PQ62695
PQ55393
PQ56616
PQ54605
PQ46183
PQ62139
PQ76858

We were missing PQ62695 /UQ72083 & PQ76858/ UQ82361 and once installed our
MS Access problems got fix. Prior to the APARs we were able to connect to
the data source but not from the MS products.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to use MS ACCESS using ODBC (via DB2 Connect 8.1.4.A) to
connect to our DB2 OS390 databases. Here is the error I'm receiving:

[IBM] [CLI Driver] [DB2] SQL0440N No Authorized Routine Named "SQLTABLES"
of type "*" having compatible arguments was found. SQLSTATE=42884.

Anyone seen this or have any ideas?
