One of the items I found with the slow growing page size -


I see the db2loggr task taking more and more memory -

Using svmon -P >svmon-date-time.txt
And then browsing that file - see that the task growing is db2loggr -

It appears that the log files are not being closed when they are no longer needed for roll back.

We have 128 files defined at 128,000 pages each - ie 512 MB per file.
Thus - this is growing to 62 GIG . ! !

So far, it has not consumed all of that, but this application is still just in the roll out phase. :-)

We might have to recycle the UDB system to clean these out if there is not a better way to get the files closed.

Any suggestions ?
