Look into the IDENTITY_VAL_LOCAL function in the SQL reference manual.

Hi,
How do you populate your surrogated keys, sequences or identity ?
(DB2 UDB 8.1/aix 5.2)
If using identity you have to query the data you just inserted to know the
value of the key as there is no returning clause in DB2.
TIA
