Hi.,

I have a requirement which goes like this,

We are passing data from presentation layer to application server using
XML.
We are going to maintain a audit table for every table. In that table we
are going to store the primary key value and a blob column which will
store the xml itself. This xml contains the actual data.
I want to know the following,

1. Whether storing of xml itself in a blob instead of individual columns
in the way it exists in original table is better.
2. Is there any performance problem will be there if I store a data in
blob column.
3. Reg memory usage.
4. IO

Any advice will be appreciated.
