Hi Kevin,
This limit of memory is due to addressable memory space in case of 32 bit
machine . If you use extended bufferpool even a single DB2 instance can use
more than 1.7 GB of memory.

I read the book regarding this limitation, but not quite clear about this.
Is this 1.7GB shared memory that can be used by UDB is on the whole
machine or by instance.
If I have two instance running on the one machine. Can each one uses up to
1.7GB or
two combine can use 1.7GB?
