First things first.

1) Whats the codepage and locale? and OS of this system
2) Set the DB2CODEPAGE to whatever it is and try again to get the real
error.

I am getting a error message. The connection test failed. SQL10007N
Message "-3000" could not be retrieved. Reason Code "5"
