UDB - 64 bit

UDB - 64 bit

All -

We are starting to change from the 32 bit to the 64 bit version.

One thing I see in ipcs is that the 64 bit versions are doing a shared request for 64 Gig.

Yet - they do not always show that amount of memory allocated when doing a svmon -P for those systems.

How do I understand the memory allocation process now on 64 bit ?

I see the segment numbers being 77000000 - 77FFFFFF for the first 64 Gig and 78000000-78FFFFFF for the second 64 Gig.

One system appears to have two sets of 64 Gig but only 1 frame in each range 77 and 78.

Where do I find more information on this ? I have already search the ibm developers site and nothing stood out. There is a great article on the 32 bit addressing but nothing on the 64 bit addressing that I found.
