Add disableunicode=1 in the db2cli.ini file in the database stanza.

AM DB2 Trouble with EBCDIC hex value
15 new line, converting to ascii
decimal value 63(?)
We are pulling data from a DB2 system down to a SQLServer system. We are
using the IBM db2connect tool and going through odbc and or ole db
connections. When we go through the ole db connection it is faster, but
translates the ebcdic hex value 15 to a question mark. When we go through
the odbc connection it is slower and translates the ebcdic hex value 15 to
an ascii dec 133 which is nothing. Is there a place where we can control
the way the hex 15 is translated? We would like to use the ole db driver.
Thanks for any help;
Mark E. Johnson

The only way I have been sucecssful in doing so is to do an offline
re-org. I am sure there is a better way though. At least I would hope
there would be.

Subject: DB2 UDB - How to reduce the high water mark of a tablespace
Hello
I would like to reduce the high water mark of a tablespace. It is
tablespace
which used to have lots of tables in it and also large volumes of data
but
now it is actually 1/3 used.
However the HWM is set very high and I cannot reduce the container size
/
Tablespace size.
I have tried the following but it find that there is now of we reducing
below the SMP page
db2dart P8B /LHWM /TSI 33 /np 0 (DB offline)
===> above give me lst of tables to reorganise in place. I have done
that
but still HWM is not coming down.
netx tried:
db2dart P8B /rhwm /tsi 33 (db offline)
===> This slighly reduce HWM and put DB in backup pending mode.
db is running now but I have not managed to reduce the size of the
tablespace which is 168 GIG allocated but only 60 GIG used.
Can anyone please help ?? We are fairly new to DB2 UDB on UNIX but have
had
DB2 on Z390 and oracle for a long time.
Thanks
