Whatever is in the /etc/services should match the svcename in the dbm cfg
and you should set db2set DB2COMM=tcpip.

Instance Port Change
I created a DB2 version 8 instance on a Solaris box, but didn't specify a
PortName. Does anyone know how I can add the PortName without dropping the
instance and recreating it? I've tried modifying the /etc/services file,
but it didn't work. I'm assuming that I'm missing something. Any help
would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Blair
