SQL6031N Error

SQL6031N Error

We recently updated the port number (that we had given during
installation time) to a new value in /etc/services file. Since then we
are not able to access DB2. We are getting the following error. We are
not having partitioned database environment. I checked the documentation
but did not help as all information is about partitioned database
environment.

$ db2

SQL6031N Error in the db2nodes.cfg file at line number "0". Reason
code "12".

The db2diag.log lists following error repeatedly:

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, base sys utilities, sqleInitApplicationEnvironment,

MESSAGE : DiagData

DATA #1 : Hexdump, 4 bytes

Please suggest ways to solve this problem.

We are using DB2 ver 8.1 FixPak 8 for AIX.
